The Wimmera is famous for its silos and its dark skies. ASV - Wimmera Section is a relaxed and welcoming group that meets for a social catch-up, astronomy discussion and, when the weather cooperates, an observing session using members' telescopes. Meetings are monthly, commencing around 7:30pm.

Throughout the year, the Section also enjoys occasional indoor activities, including astronomy movie nights and planned astrophotography data processing sessions when cloudy skies keep everyone indoors.

Whether you're new to astronomy or an experienced observer, everyone is welcome to come along for a friendly evening of astronomy and conversation."
