NAG Calendar PDF Print E-mail
Contributed by Ken LeMarquand
The NAG Calendar format has been updated so each quarter is now themed. This allows us to build on learning from the previous session(s) in each quarter and cut down on the need to repeat ourselves. This should allow us to get through more items during the year.

Nov Intake
Dec...    How to use your Star Atlas
Jan...    There is no clubroom meeting as we head off for an LMDSS Field trip.
Feb...    Telescopes, how they work, different types, which one for you?

This quarter with the good weather and holiday period we concentrate on the observing related topics

Feb intake
Mar...    The Moon, and others in our solar system
Apr...     Our Solar system of planets
May...    Annual NAG informal open discussion night

This quarter see the steady calm Autumn atmosphere which is good for planetary observing.

April Intake
Jun...    The life cycle of stars.
Jul...    Galaxies, the largest visible components of our Universe.
Aug...    Big Bang theory, and why formation of our Universe is still a mystery!

This quarter we are heading into Winter and more cloudy periods so we head inside as we contemplate the workings Universe.

August Intake
Sep...    Life in the Universe
Oct...    Astro Photography
Nov...    The Messier 100 hunt

This quarter we do one more deep & meaningful topic to see the last of cloudy rainy spring off before heading back to outdoor observing topics again.

Our goal is to have a minimum of one guest speaker each quarter. Section Directors are particularly welcome to come and promote/share their section and the activities for new Members.

NAG would like to thank the many guest speakers who have helped out in the past, and continue help as we continue the journey with new members!!
